Research development of gas turbine hot section component repair

  • With the successful independent development of domestic heavy-duty gas turbines, establishing a self-controlled repair technology system is of great significance for ensuring the security of energy equipment and reducing maintenance costs. This article focuses on analyzing process characteristics, applicable scenarios, and existing issues of various repair methods, including TIG, brazing, high-energy beam welding, machining, spraying and solid-state welding. Traditional TIG offers low cost but involves high heat input. Brazing causes minimal deformation but results in lower joint strength. High-energy beam repair provides high precision and a small heat-affected zone but requires high equipment costs. Solid-state techniques like cold spraying are suitable for single-crystal superalloys. Solid-state welding technology is applicable for complex structures, although residual stress control remains challenging. Future development directions include the integration of multiple processes, intelligent control, and the establishment of standardized systems to enhance repair quality and reliability, thereby promoting the autonomy and industrialization of China’s gas turbine maintenance and support capabilities.
