Abstract:
Inconel 625 nickel based alloy was surfaced on the surface of 20 steel by arcing-wire GTAW process. Microstructure of the surfacing layer and influence of dilution ratio on corrosion resistance of the surfacing layer were studied. The result showed that microstructure of the surfacing layer was composed of columnar crystal. Cracks and pores were not observed. The interface between the surfacing layer and the matrix fused well without separation. Dilution ratio was offectively decreaced by the welding process and elements of the surfacing layer were equally distributed. With the dilution ration increase,Fe element increased in the surfacing layer and corrosion resistance of the surfacing layer was greatly reduced.
