Abstract:
Welding repairing to one boiler drum and one deaerator with defects and damages were carried out by Temper Bead Welding( TBW) technique. Examination results of the repaired components showed that there was no remarkable difference of microstructure between TBW joint and Postweld Heat Treatment( PWHT) joint. Although defects in the components have not been extended during repairing, the residual stress in TBW joint generated conspicuous is higher than that in PWHT joint. Based on the above repaired results,it was confirmed that TBW technique can be applied to welding repairing of defect or damage components. One technical key of its application was to avoid defect or damage extension during repairing by the corresponding control measures, for example,by eliminating defects or damages within the areas affected by welding heat or welding stress under operability, and reducing the weld residual stress and so on. Another technical key of its application was to arrange weld layer and bead according to groove shape and size to ensure the effect of the tempering of the joint.
