Abstract: The properties of double brand stainless steel SA-240 304/304L and ordinary austenitic stainless steel 304/304l were compared and analyzed, and the double brand stainless steel SA-240 304/304L has the equivalent mechanical properties to that of stainless steel 304 and the equivalent intergranular corrosion resistance to 304L stainless steel. Welding procedure test and practical welding application were compared between the double brand stainless steel SA-240 304/304L and stainless steel 304L by using electrode arc welding and tungsten argon arc welding, and the results indicate that the mechanical properties, low temperature impact toughness at -196 ℃ and the intergranular corrosion resistance of the double brand stainless steel SA-240 304/304L welded joint meet the related criteria and standard requirements.
