    Abstract: After the implementation of the strategic plan of “made in China 2025”, it puts forward a new challenge to the training mode of welding automation talents. On the cultivation of the new mode is the priority task for government, industry association, and professional training institutions. A new type of welding automation talents training mode was presented, and a new idea for the future training of welding automation talents was proposed.
