Welding technology of S30403 stainless steel seamless pipe with back protection

The welding shielded flux without argon-filled and traditional argon-filled was used in S30403 stainless steel seamless pipe with TIG backing weld. Effects of the two back protection methods on welding process and properties of S30403 stainless steel seamless pipe welded joint were investigated by welding process test,inspection test,tensile test,bending test,impact test,intergranular corrosion test and metallographic test. The results showed that welding shielded flux without argon-filled could meet requirements of NB/T 47014-2011,and it was similar to that of traditional argon-filled protection. It could replace argon-filled protection in actual application.
