Effect of press amount on mechanical properties of thick-plate 7N01 aluminum alloy FSW joint

  • FSW butt test of 15 mm thick-plate 7N01 aluminum alloy was carried out, and analysis test of mechanical properties of welded joints was carried out after welding to study influence of press amount on static tensile properties, tear properties and fatigue strength of 7N01 aluminum alloy FSW joints. The research results showed that static load strength and tear performance of 7N01 aluminum alloy FSW joints were not significantly affected by press amount. Fatigue strength of 7N01 aluminum alloy FSW joints increased with the increase of press amount. The overall properties of 15 mm thick-plate 7N01 aluminum alloy FSW joints were the best when press amount was 1.0 mm.
