Induction brazing technology of steel-copper pipe

Abstract
The aim of this research was to solve the key technical problem in induction brazing of steel-copper pipe. Through the induction brazing field investigation, the main problems included that the inductor and the workpiece are relative to the left and right oblique, relative forward or backward oblique, workpiece nearby one side of inductor. Taking the filling depth as a measure of brazing quality, the orthogonal experiment result shows that the filling depth decreases while assembly clearance increases, the filling depth decreases while the relative angle of inductor and the workpiece increases, and when power is increased, the filling depth will increase first, and then become to be stable. Single factor experiment result shows that workpiece nearby one side of inductor has the adverse effects on brazing quality, placement angle of workpiece has little effect on brazing quality. The optimal process parameters as 6 mm below the ring position + 0.06~0.16 mm bilateral assembly clearance + 86% power, 3~4 s brazing time + 0~4 degrees angle of relative position for left and right, forward and backward.
