Effects of process parameters on coating feature in wire electrical explosion spraying

  • With variations of process parameters, Cu coatings were prepared by electro-thermal explosion spraying with a constraining tube. Moreover, the effects of process parameters on characteristics of coating were analyzed. Results show that, four different types of coatings were obtained, in which the molten particles coating and vapor deposition coating have the engineering application value. The spraying distance and input energy density were the key process variables to determine coating feature.
