Research and application status of extrusion of brazing filler metals

  • The equipment function, mold performance and process factors (speed, temperature, deformation index and mold shape) which affect the hot extrusion of brazing filler metals were analyzed from the hot extrusion research and application of brazing filler metals. Combined with the actual production of the extrusion equipment, the classic extrusion process and the main form of mold failure and its causes, a number of technical measures were put forward to improve the service life of extrusion mold, stabilize product quality and production efficiency. The technical approach to improve the quality and efficiency of hot extrusion of brazing filler metals was discussed. The investigation found that the excellent equipment, suitable technology and reasonable mold design are the fundamental guarantee for the smooth extrusion. Mold materials, mold manufacturing process and the use of the system determine the stability of the use of the mold.
