Abstract
By using automatic GTAW method,Inconel 690 Ni based metal was deposited on 347 stainless steel base metal. At the optimized process parameters to control penetration ratio, the microstructures of the deposited metal and side bending property were analyzed and tested. The results show that the optimized process parameters are 160 A of welding current,100 cm/min of wire feed speed and 15 cm/min of welding speed. The microstructures for the corresponding positions far away from interface are columnar dendrites and equiaxed dendrites. The dendrites is mainly consisted of γ-Ni(Cr,Fe) solid solution, and some Nb rich phase appears between the dendrites. Based on ASME QW-462. 5(d) standard, there are no obvious cracks in the samples selected randomly.
