Laser seal welding process of stainless steel with 0. 1 mm in thickness

  • The nanosecond laser was used for seal welding experiments of stainless steel with 0. 1 mm in thickness. The process parameters of laser power,welding speed,laser frequency were optimized by orthogonal experiment,and then the tensile strength was tested. The testing result showed that the most influential parameter on tensile strength is laser power. After seal testing,all samples can meet the sealing requirements at laser power of 60 W. The result of spray testing showed that the welds are not corroded when the nitrogen gas was used as the protective gas.
