Abstract:
As an advanced manufacturing technology, laser additive manufacturing has shown great application potential in many fields. However, the uncertainties and complexities in the manufacturing process pose challenges to the quality of parts and production efficiency, making the process monitoring technology for laser additive manufacturing particularly important. This paper summarizes research progress of the process monitoring technology for laser additive manufacturing, elaborates in detail on the applications of temperature monitoring and defect monitoring technologies in the manufacturing process, and illustrates the significant roles of these monitoring technologies in improving the quality of parts and production efficiency through practical application cases. Meanwhile, this paper analyzes numerous challenges faced by current monitoring technologies in the process monitoring of laser additive manufacturing and looks forward to future development trends, emphasizing that machine learning will be the main development direction in the future.
