Abstract:
Aimed at addressing the entrenched issues in the “Weldability of Materials”, including rigid instructional mode, insufficient practical training, and narrow assessment dimensions, a smart course reform was implemented on the XuetangX AI teaching platform, guided by the principle of industry-education integration and anchored in the School of Aviation Manufacturing Industry. A knowledge–competence–problem–literacy four-spectrum synergistic curriculum architecture was constructed, alongside a multi-modal resource repository. An innovative blended teaching model, characterized by AI empowerment, scenario-based flipped classroom, and diversified evaluation, was developed. Students were organized into teams assuming the roles of material engineers and process engineers, being centered on typical welding engineering topics in aviation manufacturing, engaging in AI agent-facilitated interactions to accomplish the complete cognitive chain from material selection to welding procedure qualification, with the final project defense jointly assessed by university faculty and enterprise mentors. A diversified process-oriented assessment was established, integrating AI-based automated scoring, peer evaluation, and instructor-student collaborative assessment. The remarkable effectiveness of the teaching reform has been demonstrated through teaching practice, offering a replicable pathway for the reform of core specialized courses in welding engineering within the industry college context.
